Huge congratulations to Hugo Gonzalez for winning the California Water Environment Association Collections Person of the Year for all of California! Hugo was recently honored as Collections Person of the Year for the CWEA San Diego section and is now recognized statewide for his innovation and excellence in collection systems maintenance.
With a decade-long tenure at LWD, Hugo has proven himself a dedicated and proactive Field Service Technician. Hugo was recognized, in part for his ability to multitask and be a team player for the District's award winning collection system. Hugo also took the lead on a night work project to CCTV and hydroclean sewer trunk lines on El Camino Real (Heavy Traffic Road) and Hugo also was part of a FOG inspection team that exceeded the goal for yearly FOG inspections.
Hugo's combined technical proficiency, leadership skills, and dedication make him an invaluable asset to LWD and the wastewater collections community.
