Leucadia Wastewater District along with nine other public agencies and Camp Pendleton in north San Diego County are collaborating on a plan to have more recycled water available to augment drinking water supplies. By working together, these agencies can identify where recycled water can be used regionally by developing interconnected pipelines rather than just in individual jurisdictions. The North San Diego Water Reuse Coalition has been awarded $4.9 million in grants to fund needed studies, design and construct recycled water projects. The group is actively seeking federal funding as well. For more information on the group and their projects, please see their fact sheets below.
