Learn how science teachers June Honsberger and Alyson Thile have used their teacher grant at Official La Costa Canyon High School!
High school science students in grades 10-12 and the California Biodiversity Club are working together to support pollinators on the LCC campus. Using the iNaturalist.org app on their smartphones, they document and attract various pollinator species by selecting drought-tolerant plants and trees, constructing bee boxes, and designing watering stations. They also maintain the gardens and inventory the varieties of pollinators to guide future projects. The District is happy to support this exciting project promoting environmental stewardship and biodiversity in our community! 🌳 🌍 🌱
