Safety is the number one priority at the District and we constantly train for contingencies to minimize injury and impact to the community and environment.

Our Field Services Technicians recently completed their annual confined space training, which includes, how to recognize a confined space and the specific hazards associated with that space.

If you're cooking or baking any yummy treats involving fats, oils or grease (FOGs)- you know what to do! If you need a refresher, read below ⬇️

Let FOG cool, pour them in a can, and seal the can with a lid. Pouring FOG down your drain can potentially cause a sewer backup in your home and may lead to a sewer spill.

Write us at info@lwwd.org to get your own can topper and celebrate in style while doing your part to protect the local community.

On this upcoming Saturday, October 29th from 10am-2pm, turn in prescription drugs safely and anonymously for The DEA's National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

Even though it starts with a "P", Prescriptions are not one of the 3 P's that belong in your toilet. Prescription drugs aren't always broken down in the treatment system, and the compounds can end up in the ocean if flushed. Exposure to even low levels of drugs can be detrimental on fish and other aquatic species, and may also negatively affect human health.

For many Americans, living without water is a harsh reality – not something to be imagined.

Join the District and the US Water Alliance as we come together today to commemorate Imagine a Day Without Water – a National Day of Action that brings together community leaders and policymakers to advance more equitable water investment.

Together, we’ll show how essential and invaluable water is and share ways to ensure everyone has access to this critical public good!
