Did you know that the District offers a financial assistance program that can reimburse homeowners 50% of your sewer lateral repair costs, up to a maximum of $3,000? This program is geared to help with necessary sewer lateral repairs due to root intrusion, cracks, or potential blockages. The installation of lateral liners and/or replacing existing sewer pipe qualify as sewer repairs and can be reimbursed. A cleaning of the private lateral does not qualify for the program. The District paid $59,028 to property owners during FY2023.

Leucadia Wastewater District (LWD) will be conducting safe and non-toxic smoke tests on the following streets in the City of Encinitas as indicated on the map below during the week of June 10, 2024 from 7:30 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.

The Leucadia Wastewater District will be closed on Monday, May 27, 2024, in observance of Memorial Day.

The Leucadia Wastewater District was proud to participate in Capri Elementary's 2024 Kindergarten Water Day. The District's Field Service Technicians (FSTs) brought out equipment to educate all of the classes around the wastewater collection and treatment processes in both English and Spanish.

🚧 Heads up, La Costa residents! 🚧

We want to inform you that sewer cleaning work will be taking place on La Costa Avenue, between Saxony Road and Piraeus Street, from Tuesday, May 14th-16th between the hours of 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM each day. During these hours, one lane will be closed for the cleaning operations. Please plan your travel accordingly and drive with caution in the area.
