In case you didn't know, Omni La Costa Resort & Spa uses our recycled water to water their golf course ⛳️

We're proud to announce that during the Fiscal Year 20/21, we delivered 321-acre feet of recycled water to the south golf course. That's equivalent to saving approximately 105 million gallons of valuable potable water.

District Infrastructure Improvement Projects

FISCAL YEAR 2021 CURED-IN-PLACE PIPE LINING PROJECT

This Project includes the repair of 29 sites throughout our service area that includes over 1.25 miles of pipeline. These repairs keep the District’s infrastructure sound by eliminating defects in our pipes and avoiding sewer spills. Construction will occur between Spring 2021 and Summer 2021. Minor traffic impacts may occur during construction so please check our Facebook page for updates.

ENCINITAS ESTATES PUMP STATION REPLACEMENT
PROJECT

Many items that you put down your drain can potentially negatively impact the environment and your home.

Since our last post announcing our new Easement Machine, our Field Services Technicians have started learning how to operate this new gadget! You may have seen us training on the Rancho La Costa Ridgeline Trail with the City of Encinitas.

The Easement Machine is a self-propelled machine that can extend up to 600 feet of hose to clean pipelines in hard-to-reach areas. The Easement Machine is a cost-effective solution that will allow the District to clean those difficult areas more safely and by using less manpower to complete the task.

Do your part for Plastic Free July ♳

According to Plastic Oceans, we are producing over 380 million tons of plastic every year and more than 10 million tons of plastic is dumped into our oceans every year.

We deeply care about the state of our oceans, as the District pumps back secondary treated water from the Encina Water Pollution Control Facilities that would normally go out their ocean outfall to our Gafner Water Recycling Facility.
