Today’s Youth are Tomorrow’s Leaders 👥
The California Association of Sanitation Agencies (CASA) Education Foundation was formed to enhance the future of California’s clean water community by attracting new professionals into the industry through scholarships.
Students pursuing higher education in engineering, environmental science, public administration, or other related fields, who show an interest in serving the clean water community are eligible to apply.

Follow along as Field Service Technician, Hugo Gonzalez, explains how our team utilizes vactor trucks and how they're integral in clearing out blockages in sewer lines.
As Hugo reminds us, DO NOT flush items such as rags, wet wipes, egg shells, underwear and sand. If it isn’t the three- P’s, pee, poo, and paper (toilet paper only), don't flush it, as it will clog the pipes.

Don't worry, we're definitely still this cool 😎
As shown in this photo from the 70's, our original name was the Leucadia County Water District. The District was later renamed the Leucadia Wastewater District in 2003 to better reflect the services provided.
The first photo shows one of our current vehicles as our Field Service Technician's travel around our District, ensuring our communities accessibility to safe, reliable wastewater service 24/7.

Surf’s up🏄🏽
Our Batiquitos Pump Station is right across the street from Ponto Beach, and is an excellent location for our Surf Cam! Check the surf, plan your next beach day, or just unplug for a few minutes the next time you need a break from the daily grind.
Visit bit.ly/PontoSurfCam to see it on our updated website.
Next time you’re out enjoying the beach, please remember to be a good steward and pack out everything you brought in.
